Kisha and Klondike are two sweet little miniature eskies saved from a Kill shelter. They come from a puppymill in Missouri. Kisha was pregnant and had 4 puppies when she came out of the shelter. They are a bonded pair and were used for breeding. We like to think of them as an old married couple. We really are hoping to adopt them together. They are getting along great with all the dogs in their foster home. We are working on housetraining and socialization. They are not aggressive in the least with dogs or people but rather very timid so we are taking them to obedience class in order to help them come out of some of their shyness. Having been in a puppymill in a tight cage, we feel they have made LOTS of progress. They have learned to walk on a lead. They are learning to be okay with being handled. They will eat treats out of our hands. We do want them to do better with the "come" command and to be less shy before adopting out. We are working on the housetraining and probably are about 80% there.
These two are very sweet little pups, but they need a patient person who is willing to help them continue to learn how life should be like for a dog. That living in a cage is not all there is and that people can actually be good to know. They are beginning to play with each other and run in the yard and it is a joy to see them smiling and having fun. We would suggest no young children just because of their background. Currently, they are too timid and quick movements as children tend to make scare them. We are not sure about cats as the foster home does not have cats so that could or could not be a problem.
They are up to date on shots, dewormed, tested heartworm negative, on heartworm prevention and are spayed and neutored.
Both are now housebroken and getting along well. A very special home is needed for these two. We want them to go together. The right home would be one that did not expect anything from these two...they will probably never be lap dogs but are willing to share their space with you!
